The beginning of February brings two birthdays in our family. My birthday is on Groundhog Day. Last year on my birthday we had a huge snowstorm that dumped 2 feet plus of snow on us. This year, there was no snow and temps in the 40's!
Speaking of 40's, I turned 40 this year. It doesn't really bother me, although it does take some gettting used to that I'm no longer in 30's. My age doesn't make me feel as old as knowing that Anna is going into high school next year!
We celebrated with some friends and family at IHOP.
Yesterday was a very special birthday. My grandma turned 93! Although she's had some health setbacks in the past month and is currently in the rehab section of a nursing home, I think she's doing great for nearly being a century old! She is truly my hero. I was blessed to be able to grow up with my grandparents only 20 miles away, and I have always been close to them (my grandfather passed away in 1990 due to Parkinson's Disease). Anna has been able to grow up with a great-grandmother. I treasure every year with her!
We celebrated with my parents, aunt and uncle and two of my cousins at the nursing home. We were able to reserve the conference room for a party.
