Although we have only stayed there twice so far, the Ronald McDonald House in Pittsburgh has a special place in our hearts. They, along with other Ronald McDonald Houses around the country, provide such an invaluable service to families whose children are hospitalized. Many families stay for months, even more than a year, at a time while their child waits for a transplant, receives treatment, or is recuperating. Just a few weeks ago we learned of families from as far away as Brazil and Korea who were staying there. Through fundraising the house is able to keep a families stay affordable, and provide a comfortable living space for everyone.
We would like to give back in some way. So to do that, we are collecting pop tabs from pop (or soda, for those not in Michigan). They are recycled and exchanged for cash. You may learn more about the program here: http://www.rmhcpgh.org/sites/default/files/Pop%20Tab%20Brochure_0.pdf
All I ask is that you collect the tabs off your cans, and send them to me - I make sure they get to Pittsburgh. Please leave a comment with your email address, and I will reply with my address.
Thanks for your help!

Do you have a pop tab (or several) to spare?

My kid's preschool collects them, too. It's such an easy thing to do, rip 'em off and throw them in a jar.

My hubby drinks a lot of diet soda. So I hope I can probably collect lots since we now recycle in our county. Awesome! I'll email when I have a good collection.

My hubby drinks a lot of diet soda so I should be able to collect a ton of them. I'll write when I have a collection to get an address to send them.
